Abstract :

In recent years, we have witnessed the biggest insults from the western countries to the holy Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him). Pop Benedict XVI, the Danish and Norway press, and some movie makers have hurled insults at the holy Prophet and Islam. Westerners and Christians have given a very false picture of the Prophet Mohammed, trying to show that the Prophet of Islam was a Prophet of wrath and anger, a violent prophet. To reject their false claims, this paper provides ample historical evidence from Islamic resources to show that the Prophet Mohammad established good and peaceful relationship with the Christians of his time, and that he sought peace, encouraged dialogue and cultivated support for religious minorities.
